I didn’t start out as a fiction writer, but I lived inside my imagination so much as a kid that writing stories just seemed like the next logical step. Writing for children found me at the time I needed it the most, though someday I hope to write across ages and genres. My love runs deep for middle grade, but I appreciate an adventurous YA & moving picture books, so I’m always waiting for inspiration to strike. Here’s a peek at what my current work entails.
Of Myths and Waves
My short story “Niamh’s Song” is featured in this anthology!
When oceans rise and frozen skies awaken, ancient myths stir—and new heroes are called to answer.
This middle grade collection of six short stories and one novelette journeys from sunlit shores to icy tundra, where creatures of the deep rise with the tide and sky-born forces unleash life-threatening blizzards. Within these pages legendary creatures step out of myth and into reality itself.
Meet the steel beast of the Loch, lightning-fast dragons of the deep, half-fish beings, and mermaids of land and sea. Discover new legends—a sand girl shaped by the shore, a village maiden who risks everything to calm a storm, a powerful water horse, and ancient stones that bind generations together.
As tsunamis loom and hurricanes roar, dive into adventure as heroes learn that true strength lies in standing up for what is right. Siblings are tested, friendships are forged, and courage awakens as kingdoms try to control what they cannot.
Live the myth.
Become a legend.
Believe you can make a difference.
